House Siding

Choosing the right siding is one of the most important decisions you will ever make concerning your home. It will affect the appearance, energy efficiency and re-sale value of your home for years to come.

Unlike most siding companies, Amazing Siding offers all the major siding options in the market today. It’s our mission to educate you about their qualities and then let you decide which option is right for you.

Among your vinyl siding options, your most economical choice is “hollow back” siding, so-called because there is no insulation directly attached to its back --- it really is hollow! With hollow back siding, the foam insulation is laid flat against the exterior walls of your home and the siding is then affixed right over it. This is the most inexpensive siding option but also gives you the lowest “R” or “resistance” insulation against heat transfer in both summer and winter.

Your next option is “drop in” contoured insulation siding … so named because the siding is affixed to the side of you home, then the insulation is “dropped in.”

Because the insulation is contoured, it fits more closely to the siding than flat-foam insulation. This foam is thicker, thus providing a greater “R” value. More expensive than flat foam siding, drop-in contoured siding is also sometimes called “Two Part Contoured” siding because of its design.

If you’re looking for the highest insulation value in the market, take a look the one-piece contoured insulation siding system. Amazing Siding has their own exclusive Amazing Plank and Amazing Wall siding. This siding features a contoured expanded polystyrene insulation permanently affixed on back, thus providing the snuggest siding and insulation fit in the industry. While this is the more costly of your vinyl siding options, Amazing Siding increases your “R” value to an additional R-4 to R-41/2 and it’s guaranteed to save you up to 25% in energy costs. Over the years, the energy savings will offset the additional cost and continue paying for itself for years to come. In addition to the energy saving, Amazing Siding carries the strongest warranty in the business…period.

After choosing what kind of insulation backing is right for you, it’s time to choose the style of your siding. The two most popular styles today are either the Straight lap or Dutch lap design. Amazing Siding’s Amazing Plank is a Double 7 siding panel which comes in sections of two 7 inch boards tall hence the name, “Double 7.

The Amazing Plank Double 7 equals 14 inches tall and nearly 17 feet long offering 66% fewer seams than the conventional 9 inch tall 12 foot long panels.

The Dutch lap design siding usually comes in a double 5 inch style or 10 inches tall and only 12 feet long. The Amazing Wall Dutch Lap design however has 4 – 41/2 inch laps totaling 18 inches tall and nearly 17 feet long. Because of the taller and longer surface area, the Amazing Wall system creates a much straighter appearance while offering you 76% fewer seams than conventional Dutch lap siding.

Remember, you only want to side your home once. The better it performs year after year, the more it will increase you homes value when its time to sell.

We hope this has been helpful to you. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 1-800-4-SIDING or ask your sales representative.
